It’s that time again! Bloggers’ Quilt Festival

I always seem to miss the deadline for posting a photo of a quilt to the Bloggers’ Quilt Festival, although I do love seeing all the quilts. This time, though, I remembered!

You can visit the Festival here:

The very generous Amy Ellis of Amy’s Creative Side is the mastermind behind this fun. Isn’t she clever? I love having a chance to play along!

This is my entry in the Small Quilt category. Some of you may have seen this quilt before but it’s still one of my favorites. It’s called, “Round Holes, Square Peg,” and was quilted by the super-talented Shelly Pagliai of Prairie Moon Quilts. (I’ll have another quilt that Shelly quilted to show you soon. Promise!) I love that she “gets” what I want when I give her a quilt to do for me. (Although I suspect she worries that I won’t like her work…silly girl!) I try not to tell her what I think it needs since I know she will add another (wonderful) dimension to my quilts without any hovering or meddling on my part. I appreciate her artistry more than I can tell you…and probably more than I’ve ever told her! (P.S. Shelly? LOVE you, love your work! You rock, Cowgirl!)

Didn’t Shelly do a great job with this one? If you agree, go vote for us here!

And thanks. Very much. 🙂

  • What a great quilt! The blue makes all the other fabrics pop! It looks like a Jan Kingwell with all the coordinated business going on. And the quilting is fabulous! well planned out, accentuating your quilt’s features.

Thank you so much for your kind words. It was really such a fun quilt to make…very therapeutic. How can anyone sew with brights and not be happy? And yes, the quilting is, indeed, fabulous. Shelly is a gem.

  • What a fun happy quilt!

Thanks! It made me happy just to make it.
