It’s tell-me-something-good Thursday!

Hey, everybody! It’s Thursday again…already! You know what that means, right? It’s your day to tell me something good. I am looking forward to hearing what’s good in your world! But first, Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

In my world? Well, you probably know that I can always find something good, at least I certainly try to. Today, mine is a simple pleasure. There’s corned beef and cabbage in the Crock-Pot for St. Patrick’s Day. This is one of my favorite meals and the fact that it can go in the Crock-Pot makes it a winner!

If you want another good thing from me today, I’ll tell you. One of my favorite brands of lipstick is on sale today only at Ulta. It’s Urban Decay Revolution, and at the usual price of $22.00, it’s kind of spendy. Today it’s just $11.00. (My other favorite is MAC lipstick, and it has just gone up from $16.00 to $17.00.) After spending gazillions of dollars on cheaper stuff over the years, I’ve decided that buying fewer and spending a little more is, in the end, a better deal for me. So now you know.

So, what’s making you happy today? Ready? Set…Go!

I get to celebrate a friend’s birthday over coffee with the gals today — always a good time 🙂 and I also get to play tour guide in my hometown for some good friends tomorrow (homeschool field trip). Good things!

So you get two days of fun! That’s great! Where is the field trip going?

Definitely a good day Thursday! My nearest quilt shop had their bi-monthly quilt-y gathering and me and about 35 of my newest closest quilt-y friends had a good time there this morning. The shop even provided coffee, bottled water and scones! I went home afterwards for lunch and to prep sandwich fixin’s for dinner in advance. I went to visit my gal pal this afternoon for coffee and chocolate. I barely got home in time to throw those sandwiches together for dinner before hubby and I headed to the Kauffman Center for Performing Arts. “In the Mood” was playing 30’s and 40’s big band music with singers and a few swing dance performances. Hubby and I are swing dancers since 1999, The musice made me want to get up on stage and dance, too, but I settled for toe-tappin’ in my seat.

Ohmygosh, I love swing music! I don’t know how to dance to it (and my hubs isn’t a dancer), so I just really enjoy watching. A LOT. It looks like so much fun, and of course, the music is wonderful!

You had a busy day, it sounds like, but covered all the important things: quilts, friends, coffee, scones, chocolate, music, and dancing. Wow! It doesn’t get much better than that!
