I got something really fun in the mail a couple of weeks ago. I intended to show you sooner, but just had not gotten to it. I am pretty sure you’ll want one too, though.
My Facebook friend Lee McCoy has been making these very cute pincushions, and I decided I wanted a couple. I ordered them from her and she popped these cuties in the mail (in this wonderful pink mailer!) to me:
These things are wonderfully weighted to keep them in place while you’re using them, and just the right size to hold enough pins. You can’t really see from the photo so you’ll have to take my word for it, but Lee’s workmanship is so very nice. I bought two, as you can see, one for upstairs, where I do mostly hand-sewing, and one for downstairs, where my workroom is. (Actually, I bought three, but one is a gift, so I can’t show it until I give it away!) Color me happy!
I’m thinking there may be more of these in my future. What a wonderful gift for sewing friends, huh? If you’re interested in buying some for yourself, please contact Lee J. Quiltergirl McCoy on Facebook (you can find her in my friends list!), so she can make some pincushions for you, too!
