This is it! Today is Quilts of Valor’s (QoVF) National Sew Day. I said I was going to do it, and here I am. I’m sewing away!
What a cool feeling, knowing that even though I’m here in my workroom sewing alone, there are men and women all over the country (and even across the seas) joined with me in a common purpose. We are sewing for a fantastic cause! I’ve said it before, but is huge to me.
For now I’m still sewing strips together. I’m liking Bonnie Hunter’s Strip Twist pattern a lot (did you know I love string quilts?), so I am hoping to make at least one in that pattern. There are so many options, though, so I’ll just see what happens.
As I sew, I am praying over each piece, that the quilts I’m making go to the folks who need them most, to provide exactly what they need. I’ve got a fresh pot of coffee brewing, and vegetable soup cooking so I can sew, sew, sew today.
Are you having a Sew Day too? Let’s see what you’re making!
