It’s sew day! I’m headed a couple of hours north today to Harrisonville, Missouri, for a sew day for The 70273 Project. My friend Denniele set this up and invited me to come. She has a whole posse all lined up to make blocks. My job will be to piece the blocks together. I told Denniele I would put wings on my machine so the blocks can fly. How many tops do you think we can piece?
My machine is cleaned and oiled, I have thread, needles, extra bobbins, and all the cords packed up and ready to go. Denniele and her crew are taking care of the fabrics and supplies on that end. And I know how far Starbucks is from the place where we’re sewing, so I think we’re all set.
Tomorrow we’ll have another Sunday Sewcial here on the blog (in the meantime, read through the first and second weeks of Sunday sewcials, and pop back tomorrow to join in). It’ll be Monday before I can post all the photos of today and tell you all about it. I wish I could have everything ready to go by tomorrow, but since I have a drive on either side of this event, AND Sundays are busy days for me, I can’t promise that it’ll happen. But watch my Instagram for in-the-moment photos! Follow me on Facebook. Give my page a “Like” so you can see the ones I post there too.
If you’ve not yet joined The 70273 Project, please take a moment to go read through all the information on the site, and give it some thought. You can make a couple of blocks in less time than it took you to read this post. Honest. And we still have a long way to go, so every single block helps out. You, too, can have a sew day, just as we’re doing tomorrow.
Have a wonderful Saturday!! Leave me a comment to let me know what you’re doing today! And stop back by tomorrow, will ya? 😉
