Good Thing Thursday

Thursday

Hey, friends, it’s Thursday! You know what that means, right? It’s the day you tell me what’s happening good in your world!

For me, it’s been a good week. I’ve been sewing like a fiend and loving it. As usual when I am doing that, my imagination is very, very busy. I love that sense of buzzing, active creativity that happens. It always makes me feel that anything is possible.

The quest to re-familiarize (and better) myself with free motion quilting goes on. I am practicing every day!

How about you? What are you up to? Leave me a note in the comments!

Just a quick note about comments, by the way, because several of you have mentioned having trouble doing it…Sadly, we had to install Disqus on my site in order to keep trolls and spammers away. I was spending literal hours trying to mitigate the damage they were doing. So, I appreciate your willingness to help me keep my site safe. To use Disqus, you will have to sign in to it, but  can do so using your Facebook information. Disqus is perfectly safe and I do not see any of the information you sign in with, it’s just the only way I can hold off the creepy people who want nothing more than to post yucky stuff to other people’s blogs. Thanks so much for understanding! I hope to see your name in the comments.

Another good Thursday – not so much fun but productive. I did visit with a friend for a bit and ran a few errands this morning while listening to Adele. I got home and started filing household papers which is waaay overdo. You know, the pile that sways ‘cuz it’s so high? I got them filed, need to file the financial papers next so I can find all the tax paperwork (sigh), and I did my annual review of utilities – just something I like to do and compare year over year. I am finishing the 4th week of Artist’s Way but am in probably my 10th week! I’m doing it at my own pace. I got to the part that puts you in a weeklong reading desert! UGH! I had to finish my book club book first THEN I started the reading desert on Sunday. I’m dyin’ here but I am getting stuff done that needs doing. Got some trim painted yesterday that was installed this fall – ’bout time right?

Those productive days aren’t always fun, it’s true, but there is real satisfaction in being able to cross things off the list. My have-to-do list is always long and I ignore it as long as possible. You knocked a lot off of yours!

Gosh, The Artist’s Way. I need to dig that out. I first did it shortly after it came out, but I think it would mean a lot more to me now. I only vaguely remember it. It’s good to do it at your own pace, makes some of the hard parts more palatable. It just occurred to me that it might be fun to do as an audiobook, you know, engage a different sense and see how that works. I will think on it.

I’m off to clean my workroom today. Or sew. Cleaning is on the have-to-do but you know how that goes…”Just this one seam.”

      Have a great Friday!
