Maybe you can help me out with a simple name. I am looking to give this fun little quilt a title. You may have seen it pop up on Facebook when I changed my cover photo a couple of days ago. I’ve had several people ask for its name and, honestly, I just haven’t given it one yet. Can you help me?
The photo above was taken when my quilter-friend, Phyllis Arnett, had just finished it. It’s a photo of it unfinished simply because I haven’t gotten another photo taken of it since. But didn’t she do a phenomenal job? When she first sent me a preview photo, I was over the moon. Then it arrived and, oh, holy cow. That was last summer and I still haven’t named the poor thing. Let’s give this quilt a name! I am planning to release to its first shows this year, and we can’t let it go nameless.
This quilt is my own design, and followed the one pictured below, which I called, “Round Holes, Square Peg.” It was quilted by Shelly Pagliai, and has hung at MQX New England and The Ozark Piecemakers’ Quilt Guild Show in the “teachers’ gallery” (both in 2014).
These are super-easy to make. Lots of people have emailed asking if I would teach or pattern this. Let me know if that’s something you’re interested in because, while I haven’t patterned it yet, or written up lesson plans, I could do.
But in the meantime, the gray and orange version needs a name! I am open to suggestions (as long as they’re clean). Leave me your ideas below, then pop back by to see which one I choose!
