Creativity

There’s another fabulous challenge from my friend Shelly at PrairieMoon Quilts: Cultivating Creativity. Shelly and I joke about spare time, or the lack of it for both of us, but this sounds like loads of fun! Anything that requires coloring books and Sharpies sounds perfect to me.

Some of the markers that live in my workroom (and are put away). And yes, those ARE toilet paper rolls...it's a great way to group them and keep them from falling over.

Honestly, I really enjoy doing things that stretch my capabilities. For several years the only quilts I got made were those for challenges. Sometimes I am not thrilled with my results and sometimes I am absolutely delighted, but I am always, always, always happy that I’ve tried something new.

I’m pretty sure that the things that make us uncomfortable are good, within reason of course. Things that move us out of our normal way of doing things force us to take a close look, though, and that can be eye-opening.

Go take a look and see what she’s cooking up for us. Are you in?
